Respect an enduring landscape

Thirteen sovereign Tribal Nations maintain spiritual and cultural connections to this living landscape. Together, we can honor this living and vital legacy.

Reflect on millennia of human history

The imprints people left behind are still visible—dwellings, canals, pottery, trail systems, geoglyphs, petroglyphs—and can still be experienced today. Together, we can ensure permanent protections for these fragile reminders of a deep and ongoing history.

Protect stunning biodiversity

The Great Bend is an important core habitat for species such as the endangered Sonoran pronghorn, mule deer, Desert bighorn sheep, javelina, Le Conte’s thrasher, and others. Together, we can keep these habitats intact and help their biodiversity continue to flourish.
